The Prime Minister is guiding the region towards development, says PM advisor

    The advisor to the Prime Minister Hussein Alawi announced on Tuesday, that Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani is directing the region towards development. He indicated that the international interest in participating in the Development Road is one of the diplomatic achievements of the Prime Minister.

     

    Alawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The delegation led by Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran to offer condolences on behalf of the Iraqi government and people is evidence of the depth of Iraqi-Iranian relations."

     

    He emphasized that during the visit, "the Prime Minister received a warm welcome from the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while the Iranian government delegation greeted the Prime Minister's delegation with notable hospitality. Such reception underscores the depth and prospective stability of relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran."
    He explained that "The depth of Iraqi-Iranian relations is attributed to historical, geographical, mutual strategic interests, as well as deep social, cultural, and religious ties, laying the groundwork for a stable and prosperous future with Iraq."
    Alawi added that "the Iraqi government is working to develop Iraqi national interests with all six neighboring countries, foremost among them Iran and Saudi Arabia, as well as Syria, Jordan, and Kuwait. This aligns with the government's agenda and diplomatic priorities based on Iraqi foreign policy theory."
     
    He pointed out that "regional security, development, and regional dialogue are among the top priorities of Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani towards stabilizing the Middle East, the Arab region, the Gulf region, and all matters related to West Asia. Thus, these geographical circles of regional Iraqi politics are based on Iraqi national interests, which establish regional dialogue and shift the region from 40 years of conflicts and wars to dialogue rather than differences."

     

     


    “There is a great response from countries to the Development Road Project, which has received great regional and international support and attraction, and this is an indication that there is a strong political will towards peace, stability and development, and this is a main pillar and strategic values that the Iraqi state is now working on in its regional message and in the formulation of its regional policy towards the region,” he said.
     
     “One of the major programs that the Prime Minister worked on is ending the file of terrorism, moving the region towards development, and the development road, which has now reached advanced stages in terms of work on Iraqi territory and in terms of formulating the project and putting specialists in the right place, as well as putting countries and companies on the path of dialogue on the project and reaching executive results through the establishment of the joint body to manage this project, which achieved by the visit of President Erdogan, and the presence of Qatari, Turkish and Emirati transport ministers in Baghdad and the signing of agreements in this field,” he said.
     
     
    “The path of the countries that will participate in the development road will participate in the process of financing, investment and operation, and this is one of the strategic outputs of the government platform and work to move Iraq to a new space in providing international transportation and developing international trade and the issue of colliding of new economies, and this is what the Prime Minister is working on, in addition to the Grand Faw Port, which receives and transports goods through the development road,” he said.
    In conclusion, he remarked, "The establishment of new economic complexes renders the region poised for energy transfers, internet networks, and gas transportation. Consequently, this will enhance the economic conditions of the region, which produces these services, goods, and primary resources."
