Transport Ministry announces the return of a CRJ 900 aircraft to service

The Transport Ministry announced, on Sunday, the return of a CRJ 900 aircraft to work within the air fleet. 

A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that " in line with the directives of Transport Minister Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi to adhere to the timetables for returning the grounded aircraft to service, the Iraqi Airways management announced the return of the CRJ900 aircraft to work within the airline's fleet to be the ninth aircraft to be returned to service. 

The statement added that "the aircraft with the registration mark YI-AQB carried out its first test flight successfully, on Saturday, after completing all maintenance work on it, according to the bulletin issued by the manufacturer, and the staff of the technical department was able for the first time to complete the task of replacing the landing gear of the aircraft at the company's maintenance center after this operation was previously carried out outside Iraq and with high financial costs”.

The statement continued that "work is continuing to restore the other parked aircraft to service through the efforts exerted by the company, both at the level of maintenance work carried out inside the country by its engineering and technical staff and in cooperation with major international companies to resolve this file".
