Al-Shammari, JOC Deputy Commander arrive at Arar border crossing

 The Arar border crossing was visited on Thursday by Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari and Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Gen. Qais al-Muhammadawi.  

"Deputy Commander of Joint Operations General Qais al-Muhammadawi and Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari arrived at the Arar border crossing," reads a statement from the Ministry of Interior that the Iraqi News Agency (INA) obtained.

  "The purpose of the visit is to inspect the security units that are in charge of protecting pilgrims traveling to Makkah al-Mukarramah," the statement continued.
