The Federal Investigation and Intelligence Agency announced on Thursday, the arrest of a woman's killer after he was lured from outside Iraq.
“Following the directives of the Minister of Interior to probe into the circumstances of the incident of killing a woman with gunshots and throwing her in one of Al-Diwaniyah Governorate areas, FIIA immediately formed an intelligence and technical work team to investigate and prosecute the criminals, as the Agency’s detachments were able to arrest the main and direct suspect in the incident of killing the victim, who was lured from outside Iraq,” stated FIIA in a statement, received By The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
The statement added, "The criminal has explicitly confessed committing this crime," pointing out that "the accused has been referred to the concerned authorities to receive his just punishment."
FIIA urged, according to the statement, "honorable citizens throughout Iraq to cooperate and provide any information that would help them arrest the outlaws by calling the free hotline 144."
